Domestic Day

There are several questions that I feel the need to engage in special prayers to find answers for. I thought of one yesterday but have already forgotten what it was at this moment. I’m sure that it will return to me if it is truly important. There is another question today regarding the connection of money and spiritual work. Is it proper to charge money for the study of spiritual materials and to participate in a likeminded society? I didn’t write that question well and maybe I need to think about how to sharpen the question more.

Tikkun Fifty-seven
Bereshit — Tary Shva. And they are two points, two formations. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, אָדָם הָיָה יוֹדֵעַ כָּל מַלְאָךְ וְאוֹפָן וְחַיָּה וְשָׂרָף. כָּל אֶחָד שֶׁהָיָה מְמֻנֶּה עַל שְׁלִיחוּתוֹ. וְהָיָה יוֹדֵעַ כָּל שֵׁם שֶׁל כָּל אֶחָד שֶׁהָיָה כְּפִי שְׁלִיחוּתוֹ, וְכָךְ הָיָה קוֹרֵא לוֹ. שֶׁכָּךְ מָצָאנוּ בְּסֵפֶר רָזִיאֵל שֶׁנִּתַּן לְאָדָם הָרִאשׁוֹן. שֶׁמְּטַטְרוֹ”ן קָרָא לוֹ הַקָּבָּ”ה שֵׁמוֹת הַרְבֵּה. לְעִתִּים נִקְרָא מֵיטַטּוֹר בִּזְמַן שֶׁמְּמֻנֶּה עַל הַמָּטָר. וּלְעִתִּים נִקְרָא פִּתְחוֹן סְגָרוֹן אַטְמוֹן, אַטְמוֹן בִּזְמַן שֶׁהוּא אוֹטֵם חֲטָאֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, סְגָרוֹן בִּזְמַן שֶׁסּוֹגֵר שַׁעֲרֵי הַתְּפִלָּה, פִּתְחוֹן בִּזְמַן שֶׁפּוֹתֵחַ שַׁעֲרֵי הַתְּפִלָּה, פִּסְקוֹן בִּזְמַן שֶׁפּוֹסֵק הֲלָכוֹת הַמִּשְׁנָה בַּיְשִׁיבָה הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה, וְכָךְ כָּל שֵׁמוֹת כְּפִי שְׁלִיחוּתוֹ, וְכָךְ כָּל מַלְאָךְ מִשְׁתַּנֶּה שְׁמוֹ כְּפִי שְׁלִיחוּתוֹ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר לָמָּה זֶּה תִּשְׁאַל לִשְׁמִי וְהוּא פֶלֶאִי, וּכְפִי הַנֵּס שֶׁעוֹשִׂים כָּךְ הוּא שְׁמָם.

Come and see: Adam knew every angel and wheel and living creature and seraph. Each one that was appointed over its mission. And he knew every name of each one that was according to its mission, and thus he would call it. For thus we find in the book of Raziel that was given to the first man. That Metatron the Holy One, blessed be He, called him many names. Sometimes he is called Meitator when he is appointed over rain. וּלְכָל שְׁלִיחוּת וּשְׁלִיחוּת שֶׁלָּהֶם יֵשׁ רֶגַע וְשָׁעָה יְדוּעָה, וּמַזָּל יָדוּעַ, וְיוֹם יָדוּעַ, וְכוֹכָב יָדוּעַ, וְשָׁם מִשְׁתַּנֶּה. זֶה הַמַּלְאָךְ נִקְרָא בְּשִׁשִּׁים רִבּוֹא שֵׁמוֹת הַמַּלְאָכִים. הוּא נִקְרָא חַסְדִּיאֵל בִּזְמַן שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה חֶסֶד עִם הָעוֹלָם. גַּבְרִיאֵל בִּזְמַן שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה גְּבוּרָה בָּעוֹלָם. סְתוּרִיאֵל בִּזְמַן שֶׁמַּסְתִּיר בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָם בְּכַנְפָיו מֵאֵלּוּ מַלְאֲכֵי חַבָּלָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְתַחַת כְּנָפָיו תֶּחְסֶה צִנָּה. וְנִקְרָא חַתְמִיאֵל בִּזְמַן שֶׁחוֹתֵם זְכֻיּוֹת וַחֲטָאִים עַל בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָם. כְּתַבְיָאֵל בִּזְמַן שֶׁכּוֹתֵב חֲטָאִים וּזְכֻיּוֹת.

And for every mission and mission of theirs there is a known moment and hour, and a known Mazal, and a known day, and a known star, and there it changes. This angel is called by sixty myriads of names of angels. He is called Chasdiel when he does kindness with the world. Gabriel when he does strength in the world. וְכָל מַלְאָךְ כְּפִי שְׁמוֹ יֵשׁ לוֹ פָּסוּק בַּתּוֹרָה, כְּתַבְיָאֵל עַל שֵׁם וְהַמִּכְתָּב מִכְתַּב אֱלֹהִים הוּא, חָרוּת עַל הַלּוּחוֹת. זִכְרִיאֵל עַל שֵׁם זוֹכֵר בְּרִית אָבוֹת, וְיֵשׁ לוֹ פָּסוּק זָכְרֵנוּ לְחַיִּים, וְנִכְפֶּה בְּזָכוֹר. שְׁמַרְיָאֵל בְּשָׁמוֹר, חַסְדִּיאֵל בְּחֶסֶד, גַּבְרִיאֵל בִּגְבוּרָה, צִדְקִיאֵל בְּצֶדֶק, רְפָאֵל בִּרְפוּאָה, יְתוּאֵל בְּתִפְאֶרֶת. מַלְכִּיאֵל בְּמַלְכוּת. אֵין מַלְאָךְ שֶׁאֵין לוֹ עִקָּר וְיְסוֹד בַּסְּפִירוֹת. וְכָל סְפִירָה יֵשׁ לָהּ שֵׁם יָדוּעַ וַהֲוָיָה יְדוּעָה. וְכָל שֵׁמוֹת שָׁם יֵשׁ לָהֶם עִקָּר וְיְסוֹד.

And every angel according to its name has a verse in the Torah. Ketaviel on the name “and the writing was the writing of God,” engraved upon the tablets. Zichriel on the name “He remembers the covenant of the fathers,” and it has the verse “Remember us for life,” and it is doubled in “Remember.” Shmaryiel in “Observe,” Chasdiel in Chesed, Gabriel in Gevurah, Tzadkiel in Tzedek, Refael in healing, Yetuel in Tiferet. Malkiel in Malchut. There is no angel that does not have a root and foundation in the sefirot. And every sefirah has a known name and a known Havayah. And all the names there have a root and foundation.

וְזֶה הַכְּלָל אֱחֹז בְּיָדְךָ, שֶׁכָּל מְמֻנִּים שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה שֵׁמוֹת שֶׁלָּהֶם תְּלוּיִים בַּסְּפִירוֹת וּשְׁמוֹתֵיהֶן, כָּל אֶחָד יֵשׁ לוֹ פָּסוּק עַל שֵׁם הַשֵּׁם שֶׁלּוֹ.

And this is the general rule: Hold in your hand that all the appointees above — their names depend on the sefirot and their names; each one has a verse on the name of its name.

וְכָל הַמַּלְאָכִים שֶׁסּוּסֵיהֶם סוּסֵי אֵשׁ, וּמַרְכְּבוֹתֵיהֶם אֵשׁ וְקַשְּׁתּוֹתֵיהֶם אֵשׁ וְרוֹמְחֵיהֶם אֵשׁ וְכָל כְּלֵי מִלְחָמָה שֶׁלָּהֶם אֵשׁ, יְסוֹדָם בִּגְבוּרָה. וּמַלְאֲכֵי חַבָּלָה שֶׁהֵם אֵשׁ, הַיְּסוֹד שֶׁלָּהֶם בְּגֵיהִנֹּם. וְיֵשׁ מַלְאָכִים שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהֶם עֹשֶׂה מַלְאָכָיו רוּחוֹת, הַיְּסוֹד שֶׁלָּהֶם בְּעַמּוּד הָאֶמְצָעִי. וְיֵשׁ מַלְאָכִים שֶׁהֵם מִמֵּי הָרָקִיעַ, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהֶם וְהַמַּיִם אֲשֶׁר מֵעַל הַשָּׁמַיִם, מִצַּד הַיָּמִין. כֻּלָּם שָׁרְשָׁם לְמַעְלָה. וְאֵין מַלְאָךְ שֶׁלֹּא נִמְצָא בּוֹ שֵׁם יְהוָ”ה. שֶׁנִּמְצָא בְּכָל מָקוֹם, כְּמוֹ הַנְּשָׁמָה שֶׁנִּמְצֵאת בְּכָל אֵיבָר וְאֵיבָר. וּמִפְּנֵי זֶה יֵשׁ לְבֶן אָדָם לְהַמְלִיךְ יְהוָ”ה בְּכָל סְפִירוֹת, וּבְכָל כִּסְאוֹת, וּבְכָל מַלְאָכִים, וּבְכָל אֵיבָר וְאֵיבָר שֶׁל הָאָדָם. שֶׁאֵין מָקוֹם פָּנוּי מִמֶּנּוּ לֹא בָּעֶלְיוֹנִים וְלֹא בַּתַּחְתּוֹנִים. יְהוָ”ה לֹא נִקְרָא בְּיִחוּד שֶׁל אַרְבַּע אוֹתִיּוֹת אֶלָּא בְּעִלַּת הָעִלּוֹת שֶׁמְּיַחֵד אוֹתָן. וּמִפְּנֵי שֶׁהוּא מְיַחֵד אַרְבַּע אוֹתִיּוֹת, בּוֹ נִקְרְאוּ יְהוָ”ה בְּיִחוּד אֶחָד, ה’ אֶחָד וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד. וּמִפְּנֵי זֶה שָׂם אֱמוּנַת יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאַרְבַּע אוֹתִיּוֹת אֵלּוּ. וְכָל הַשֵּׁמוֹת שָׂם כִּנּוּיִים לְשֵׁם זֶה. אֵין שֵׁם עַד א”ס וְעַד אֵין תַּכְלִית, גָּדוֹל וְשׁוֹלֵט מִן זֶה, לְמַעְלָה עַד א”ס, וּלְמַטָּה עַד אֵין תַּכְלִית. וְכָל צְבָאוֹת וּמַחֲנוֹת מִמֶּנּוּ יְרֵאִים וּמִזְדַּעְזְעִים.

And all the angels whose horses are horses of fire, and their chariots fire and their bows fire and their spears fire and all their weapons of war fire — their foundation is in Gevurah. And angels of destruction who are fire — their foundation is in Gehenna. And there are angels of whom it is said: “Who makes His angels spirits” — their foundation is in the middle pillar. And there are angels who are from the waters of the firmament, of whom it is said: “And the waters that are above the heavens,” from the right side. All of them — their root is above. And there is no angel in whom the name YHVH is not found. For He is found in every place, like the soul which is found in every limb and limb. And for this reason a son of man must crown YHVH in all the sefirot, and in all thrones, and in all angels, and in every limb and limb of man. For there is no empty place from Him, neither in the upper nor in the lower. YHVH is not called in the unification of four letters except in the Cause of Causes who unifies them. And because He unifies four letters, in Him they are called YHVH in one unification: “The Lord is One and His name is One.” And for this reason He placed the faith of Israel in these four letters. And all the names He placed as appellations for this name. There is no name until Ein Sof and until there is no end, great and ruling more than this, above until Ein Sof, and below until there is no end. And all hosts and camps from Him are in awe and tremble.
