Beach and Wedding
It’s time to write our diary entry—time for me to tell you what I’ve been doing today. It’s only 10:30 right now, but I’m going to record this diary entry and go to bed because I need to get up early tomorrow to try to prepare for a meeting that I have at 9 o’clock. And I just don’t want to do it tonight. I’m tired tonight, so I think I’m going to go straight to bed and maybe try to wake up at 6:00 and try and spend a couple of hours preparing for this meeting. It’s a meeting with Hannah from my 10 about our responsibilities that we share together during the upcoming Congress. We had a meeting a couple of days ago, and we have some individual assignments that I haven’t done yet. I need to listen to a bunch of BB music and choose some songs to make a playlist for our cleaning-up session during one of the days of the Congress. And then there’s another video—a video that has, I don’t know, like an hour and a half worth of connection games. I need to look through that and choose some connection games that I think would be fun for our 10 to do on Shabbat afternoon during the Congress, or come up with some of my own ideas or other fun ideas that aren’t listed there. The friends want to do something active. This is what I understand. More than that, I don’t know. And beyond that, we have—I need to find some excerpts and clips on the subject of the importance of meals and meal preparation according to the wisdom of Kabbalah. So I need to spend some time doing those things. I am going to need some hours to do that. I think I’m—three hours would be a minimum, but that’s probably all that I’m going to be able to manage before our meeting. So I don’t want to arrive to the meeting completely unprepared. Last night, although I tried to go to bed reasonably early, I didn’t actually make it to bed until about 4:30. And even though I was very tired, I did not sleep well at all last night. I think I woke up every half hour—not half hour, hour and a half—all night long. And finally, I had my alarm set for 12:30, just in time to quickly throw on some clothes and go to the beach. But I ended up waking up at 11:00 and not being able to go back to sleep. So I didn’t get enough sleep, and my sleep wasn’t very sound last night. The reason that it wasn’t sound like usual, I think, was because of arguing with my 10. I think that upset me more than I knew, and I think it bothered me all night. I don’t remember specific dreams, but I have the sense that my dreams were all with something of the same feeling of the discord in my 10. So I think that the problems in the 10 really disturbed my sleep last night. That was too bad. And I’ve just been on the go today. I walked 13,000 steps today—slightly more than 13,000 steps. That’s a lot. So since I woke up so early, I had time to, you know, do my normal, relatively leisurely wake-up, got dressed, packed up a few things to take to the beach, and went to pick up Rachel at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Little Rachel, I think she’s 8 years old. And she wanted to get together with me and speak English, practice her English. Apparently, according to her mother, it was all her idea. Miriam didn’t suggest it, that she came up with that idea on her own. So we had a nice time together. I picked her up at 1:00. She had her backpack all stuffed and ready. Her backpack was bigger than mine, and it seemed to be stuffed to the gills. I don’t know what else she had in there. She had a towel, and she had a change of clothes, and she had her rough cuff for riding the train. Of course, it turned out when we got to the train station that there’s no money on it. Oh my gosh. I tried to put money on it, but I’ve never done it using the kiosk there, and I didn’t succeed. So I let—I have an extra one. I lent her my extra one. Luckily, nobody checked because my extra one is for, I don’t know, a senior. I don’t know if someone would have checked it. They would have seen that it wasn’t hers. But I would have just tried to explain the situation. I don’t know. Hopefully, we wouldn’t get a ticket, but although her mother sent her with a rough cuff, it was an empty one. So yeah, we walked together to the train station and rode the train to the Ellie Fellett station and got off and walked over to my favorite coffee shop there. I bought myself a cup of decaf afoof with oat milk, and I ordered a hot chocolate for her, and she wanted it cold, so she got an iced chocolate drink. She was very pleased with that, and I was pleased with my coffee. And we walked from there over to the beach. It was a very windy day and a little bit cool—not cold, but not hot. It was not a hot day. It was partly cloudy. Most of the time that we were there, it was sunny, but occasional clouds came over. The sea was wild. The waves were big. There were white caps on the ocean from the wind. The sea was a really beautiful blue—Mediterranean blues today. It was a very pretty day. I rented a couple of chairs on the beach, and Rachel had a lot of fun playing in the surf. She ran. She jumped. She waited. She looked for seashells. And then she had these what I call water wings—little inflatable tubes that young kids can put around their arms to hold themselves up in the water. She blew up her water wings and slipped them on, and she swam in the surf a little bit. I couldn’t go swimming. I decided not to wear my swimming suit. I debated, “Should I wear my swimming suit, or should I wear, you know, like a tank top and a skort?” And I ended up wearing a tank top and a skort because I thought, “Oh, we probably won’t swim. We’ll probably just, you know, wade and kind of play on the beach.” But she would have liked to have me swim with her, but I couldn’t. I didn’t have the right clothes. I just watched her. It was fun watching her. She’s a very cute little girl. And I took a short video of Rachel to send to Emmanuela. Now, those are the kinds of things that I usually send to Emmanuela. That made her happy. It made her happy to see Rachel at the beach. She knows Rachel because, you know, she was in my 10 for a lot of years. And Miriam—Rachel’s mother—is in my 10, so they know each other well. We stayed at the beach until about quarter to 4:00. Quarter to 4:00, we headed for the train station. It’s a couple of blocks’ walk from the train beach to the train station. We had the plan to find a shop where we could buy some ice cream on the way. So we bought some ice cream and had an ice cream bar. And then we took the train home, and she went straight up to the center. She had an art class that she was supposed to attend there. I took her backpack and put it inside her yard because no one was home, but, you know, I just put it in front of the front door. And then I went home, and by the time I got home, it was about 5:20. And Rakhameem wanted to leave at 6:00 to go to a wedding. We were supposed to go to a wedding this evening. When I got home, Rakhameem was asleep, and I decided to take a shower, you know, after the beach. It’s kind of salty and sweaty, and it always feels really good to take a shower. So I took a shower and got dressed for the wedding, and about 6:15, we left for the wedding. I told Rakhameem that it would be good if we just took a bus up to the Shankar train station because the wedding hall was right by the Shankar train station, very close to our house. We just arrived at the bus stop when Rakhameem realized he forgot to put on his hearing aids, and he can hear practically nothing without them. I told him to go back and get them and that I would wait for him at the bus stop. So we lost, I don’t know, a good 10 minutes, if not a little bit more, while Rakhameem walked back to get his hearing aids and to walk back to the train station again or the bus station. The first bus that came after he arrived was a number that was unfamiliar to me. It was more a long-distance bus than a city bus. I asked him, “Do you think that it’s going to stop at the stop we need?” And he’s like, “It’ll stop at all the stops.” So we got on it, and it didn’t. It skipped the stop that we needed, and so we got off at the stop after the one that we needed, and we had to walk back. So we ended up having to walk back to the proper place. It was about the same distance as it would have been to not take the bus at all. Rakhameem was very nervous and very grouchy about it. You know, he wanted to blame me for suggesting the bus, and I wanted to blame him for forgetting his hearing aids, but it was totally fine the time that we got there. People told us once we arrived at the wedding that they got there at the time printed on the invitation, which was 6 o’clock. And my friend said there was nobody there. They were like the only people there, and they got there at 6:00. And she told me that it was only about the time that we arrived that people were starting to arrive for the wedding. I wasn’t really surprised to hear that. It’s always like that with weddings. It’s not something you have to get to on exact moment, you know? Like the hoopah was scheduled for 7:30, but they’re always late, always late, at least a half an hour late, often more. I don’t know what time the hoopah was, actually, but I would say it was every bit of 8 o’clock by the time they did the hoopah. It was a really pretty hoopah. They had, you know, it looked like a lot of hoopahs except with, you know, white and white roses on the top of it. But they had ribbons with crystals hanging down, like a whole bunch of them inside the hoopah. That was pretty, and they caught the light. The crystals caught the light in a very pretty way. I thought that was a really beautiful idea. I haven’t seen that before, and I liked it a lot. There were a lot of people we knew at this wedding. It was Bibi Friends. So I would say half the guests, if not more, were people that we know from Bibi. So it was a lot of familiar faces, a lot of people we know. It was a typical Israeli wedding. It was a typical Israeli wedding, you know, with a kavala’ch paneem first, lots of little hors d’oeuvres. They weren’t up to very much. I was very unimpressed with the hors d’oeuvres. I’ve seen a lot, lot, lot better. But then they did the hoopah, and then there was a sit-down meal, the typical Israeli wedding, like a, I don’t know, like four-course meal, tons of food, alcohol. Oh, there was dancing. I even danced. I normally don’t dance at weddings, but this time I actually danced because I had a lot of friends there, and, you know, they had a women’s circle and a men’s circle, so, you know, it was kind of comfortable. It was a fun wedding. I liked it. First, they had salads, and they had some liver pâté. It was so good. Oh my gosh. I ate two rolls with liver pâté on it. I haven’t had that in a long time, and it tasted very good to me. And then I had some sort of croquette with beef in it. Along with the liver pâté, there were tons of different salads. I had a bunch of them. And then after that came some sort of beef ribs, barbecue beef ribs, and mashed potatoes and green beans. I think Rakhameem had chicken. I had beef. I’m sure that there was dessert later on, but we decided to leave. You know, Rakhameem and I were skeinim, were old people. So we left around 10:00, maybe slightly after 10:00, and walked home. It’s the same distance as walking home from our train station, our typical train station, the Shankar station. This wedding hall, event hall, is right at the Shahram, no, Shankar train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from there to our house, maybe 12. I don’t know. Not too long. But it’s good after eating all that food to walk a little bit. But I’m pretty tired. I had a glass of whiskey at the wedding, and I had a glass of wine at the reception before the wedding. So that’s not very good for my health. It wasn’t a healthy food day for me. I had ice cream, whiskey, and wine, and all kinds of beef and not very many vegetables or fruits. I’m not going to make my smoothie tonight. I’m going to go right to bed as soon as I finish doing this. I didn’t make it to my 10:00 meeting today. I was in the middle of walking home from the beach when it was time for my 10:00 meeting to start, and it was going on all during the time that I needed to get ready to go to the wedding. So I did not go to my 10:00 meeting today. It was good for me to have a break after all the unpleasantness yesterday. So this is what I’ve been doing. There’s not much more, really, to tell. I was busy, and I was out all day. I don’t think I even turned on my computer all day. I’m not going to turn it on before I go to bed. I’m just going to go to bed and turn it on early, early in the morning. But I’m not going to be able to do my reading until after my meeting with Hannah, which is supposed to be over at 10:30. So around 10:30, I will be able to post something. And yeah. Anyway, I wore a pearl necklace and a pearl bracelet and some flower earrings. To the wedding, I wore, like I said, I was going to, I was experimenting with the color, wine color with beige, and that’s what I ended up wearing to the wedding. I wore a beige skirt. It’s a very flowy pleated skirt, very billowy pleated skirt. I wore that with a beige silk blouse, satin blouse, and a wine-colored, I don’t know, I think they call it cut-out style sweater. It’s like it’s got a lot of little holes in it. It looks like it’s crocheted. And I took a wine-colored bag with me, and I wore my beigey pink shoes. That’s what I wore to the wedding. To the sea, I wore a long light blue skirt with a t-shirt that has seashells and printed on the front of it in pinks and blues. Underneath it, I had on a tank top and my navy blue skirt. So those were my outfits for the day. It was fun wearing them. I enjoyed it. It gave me a chance to experiment with some new color combinations. It was fun. Well, now I’m going to say lila tove. I’m going to just take my vitamins, brush my teeth, and get in bed. I’m going to set the alarm for 6:00 a.m. Maybe I’ll set it for quarter to 6:00. And that will give me 15 minutes to turn on the computer. I might even set it for 5:30. The holiday starts tomorrow. I don’t know. I’ll see how I’m doing with energy by tomorrow night, whether I go to the Lila Dekala study session in the middle of the night. I used to always like those. I would always wish that they had them. They used to have them at one time, and then they haven’t consistently had them. There were quite a few years where they didn’t have one. So I’m glad that they decided to have one this year. It’s more traditional to have one. Anyway, this is what’s up with me. I hope you had a good day. It’s looking like maybe the war might start up again next week. We’ll see. It could happen this weekend, although according to Trump, he’s giving them until the end of the weekend. But he said that before and started it during the time that he said he was giving them, so we can’t count on that. But that’s what he said. He said next week, beginning of next week. So we’ll see. After our holiday, if he sticks to it. Well, on that, I’m going to say lila tove. I hope you have an excellent sleep and an excellent rest of your day. And with blessings from above, I will see you tomorrow morning. Litra Oat.
Always in love and soul devotion

And when the storm wind passes, as it is said “and the spirit of uncleanness I will cause to pass from the earth,” the pulse is aroused in that spirit. About it is said “by the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host.” At that time the vanities of the prayers ascend in it with the Holy Spirit to the upper realms. And upper vanities are aroused with them, as it is written “that not by bread alone does man live, but by everything that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord does man live,” which is the vanity of the heart of the holy Shekhinah, the flame of the altar, and immediately that the vanities of the mouth of Israel ascend in prayers, the Holy One, blessed be He, asks openly “who is this coming up from the wilderness.” Who is this certainly coming up.

And therefore there is vanity. There is vanity of which it is said “and she again bore his brother Abel.” And there is vanity of prayers and good deeds. And there is vanity of idle words, empty things of which it is written “they are vanity, the work of delusions, in the time of their visitation they shall perish,” what is “in the time of their visitation,” but in the time that redemption and visitation comes to Israel, they shall perish from the world. Vanity of delusions, that deceive the sons of man. And the Holy Spirit rules in the world, which is the pulse of which it is said “the voice of my beloved knocks.” Pulse that ascends in the wheels of the sea. That the ship which is the heart, and all the waves, about them it is said “to wherever the spirit would go, they went.” And in them the living creatures run and return. Run two, and return two. And they are YHVH. Of which it is said “thus says the Lord, from the four winds come, O spirit.”

The Shekhinah, about her it is said “who set the sand as the boundary of the sea.” And it is the boundary of all of them, like the boundary of Shabbat. And when the waves run in four directions. Immediately that they see the Shekhinah which is the sand of the heart, which is the sand that surrounds the sea. It is said of them “and return,” they return to their place. And not four winds when they come out from the heart, their movement is to the four sides of the ship. Two in the two wings of the lung, and two in the two chambers of the heart. And the movement of the pulse of the spirit makes its movement, and pulses in one point or two or three and returns to its place. And in the points that pulse the pulse is recognized.

At that time that it pulses in one point below it is Chirik. And if it is above it is Cholam. When it is in the middle it is Shuruk. If it is above it shows that fire which is hot and dry and light is strengthened, of which it is said “this is the law of the burnt offering.” And if it pulses a point below it is Chirik, and descends in water which is cold and moist and heavy. And if it pulses a point in the middle Shuruk that blows with spirit upon water, and holds both of them and it is hot and moist.

And this is what points once above and the pulse departs. Or pulses once below and the pulse departs. Or pulses once in the middle and the pulse departs. And if it pulses two times one after the other and the pulse departs, behold they are Tzere whose pulses are equal. But pulsing one point above and one point below one after the other they are Sheva. And two points, they are fire and water. Sometimes this ascends and this descends. Like “the greater light for the rule of the day and the lesser light for the rule of the night,” and sometimes they are equal and they are heavens fire and water. And sometimes it pulses three pulses, one above, and after it a second in the middle, and after it a third below. Behold three elements are aroused in it, which are fire and water and spirit in the middle, and this is Shuruk. And if it pulses two equal pulses one after the other and a point after two below behold they are Segol, which are water and fire, spirit below. And sometimes it pulses in width in length this is Patach. And sometimes it pulses in length and points a point after it this is Kamatz, in length it shows mercy. If they merit, it pulses in these nine points. The Shekhinah is the vessel for all of them, the tenth for them. Because in her all letters are included. And letters are to the points as body to spirit. And between every pulse and pulse, Yud its measure which is the measure of stature, Vav its measure which is the measure of stature.
