Zohar for Us
101.
קַרְנֵי פָרָה נֵצַח הוֹד. בָּהֶם עַמִּים יְנַגְּחוּ יַחְדָּו. קַרְנֵי רְאֵם חֶסֶד גְּבוּרָה, שֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה בָּהֶם מִלְחָמָה בַּעֲמָלֵק, וְיִמְחֶה אוֹתוֹ וְאֶת זַרְעוֹ מִן הָעוֹלָם.
Horns of a cow Netzach Hod. In them peoples shall gore together. Horns of the wild ox Chesed Gevurah, that he make in them war with Amalek, and blot him out and his seed from the world.
102.
קַרְנֵי פָרָה אֵלּוּ תַּלְמִידֵי חֲכָמִים שֶׁמִּתְוַכְּחִים זֶה עִם זֶה בַּתּוֹרָה, וּמִתְנַגְּחִים כַּשְּׁוָרִים זֶה עִם זֶה. מִפְּנֵי שֶׁתַּשְׁבַּע”פ הִיא מִצַּד הַגְּבוּרָה שֶׁנִּקְרֵאת אֱלֹקִים. וּבוֹ פּוֹתַחַת הַתּוֹרָה בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹקִים. מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ תַּלְמִידֵי חֲכָמִים הֵם מִתְנַגְּחִים בַּתּוֹרָה כַּשְּׁוָרִים זֶה עִם זֶה. וּמִפְּנֵי זֶה יְהוָ”ה כְּגִבּוֹר יֵצֵא, מִצַּד הַגְּבוּרָה. יָרִיעַ בִּתְרוּעָה. יַצְרִיחַ בִּשְׁבָרִים. עַל אוֹיְבָיו יִתְגַּבֵּר בִּתְקִיעָה. בְּאוֹתוֹ זְמַן כָּל סְפִירוֹת נוֹטְלוֹת מִגְּבוּרָה. וְהַשֵּׁם שֶׁל יוֹ”ד הֵ”א וָא”ו הֵ”א. וַאֲפִלּוּ מַלְאָכִים שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁלְּמַטָּה.
Horns of a cow these are disciples of sages that argue one with another in Torah, and gore like oxen one with another. Because Oral Torah is from Gevurah that is called Elohim. And in it Torah opens: “In the beginning created Elohim.” Therefore disciples of sages gore in Torah like oxen one with another. And because of this: “YHVH as a mighty man shall go forth,” from Gevurah. He shall shout with teruah. He shall cry out with shevarim. Over his enemies he shall prevail with tekiah. At that time all Sefirot take from Gevurah. And the name of Yud Hei Vav Hei. And even angels above and Israel below.
103.
וּלְאַחַר שֶׁנּוֹטֵל נְקָמָה מֵהֶם, יִתְמַלֵּא רַחֲמִים עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְלִפְנֵי שֶׁיִּהְיֶה נוֹטֵל נְקָמָה מֵעֲמָלֵק לֹא יוֹשֵׁב בְּכִסֵּא. וּבְאוֹתוֹ זְמַן שֶׁנּוֹטֵל נְקָמָה מִבְּנֵי עֵשָׂו, יָבוֹא לְפַיֵּס הָאַיָּלָה וְהִיא גַּעְיָא, גּוֹעָה וּבוֹכִיָּה. כְּמַה שֶׁכָּתוּב רָחֵל מְבַכָּה עַל בָּנֶיהָ. עַד שֶׁנִּשְׁבַּע לָהּ הַקָּבָּ”ה לְהַעֲבִיר אוֹתָם מֵהָעוֹלָם, וְיַהֲרֹג בָּהֶם עַד שֶׁיִּצָּבַע הַיָּם מִדָּמָם. וְיַהֲרֹג בָּהֶם עַד שֶׁיִּתְפַּרְנְסוּ מֵהֶם חַיּוֹת הַשָּׂדֶה שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנִים, וְעוֹפוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים.
And after he takes vengeance from them, he will be filled with mercy on Israel. And before he takes vengeance from Amalek he does not sit on the throne. And at that time that he takes vengeance from the sons of Esau, he will come to appease the doe and she groans, lowing and weeping. גַּעְיָא תְּלִישָׁא אַזְלָא גֶּרֶשׁ. גַּעְיָא בִּתְרוּעָה, וְנוֹתֵן בָּהֶם סְקִילָה, כְּמַה שֶׁכָּתוּב וְנָטָה עָלֶיהָ קַו תֹּהוּ וְאַבְנֵי בֹהוּ. תְּלִישָׁא בִּשְׁבָרִים תֵּ”ל אֵ”שׁ וְזוֹ שְׂרֵפָה, תּ”ל זֶה חֶנֶק, כְּמוֹ כֵן אֵ”שׁ שְׂרֵפָה. אַזְלָא גֶּרֶשׁ בִּתְקִיעָה, שֶׁהוּא כְּרוֹמַח לַהֲרֹג אוֹתָם בְּהֶרֶג. Ga’aya telisha azla geresh. Ga’aya in teruah, and gives in them stoning, as it is written: “And I will stretch over her a line of tohu and stones of bohu.” Telisha in shevarim Tel esh and this is burning, Tel this is strangling, so esh burning. Azla geresh in tekiah, that is like a spear to kill them in killing.
105.
שַׁלְשֶׁלֶת תְּרוּעָה לִתְפֹּשׂ אוֹתָם אֲסוּרִים בְּבֵית אֲסוּרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ, כְּמַה שֶׁכָּתוּב לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בַּזִּקִּים. שׁוֹפָר הוֹלֵךְ, פָּסֵק, מַקָּף. קוֹל הַשּׁוֹפָר עוֹלֶה בִּתְרוּעָה כְּרוֹמַח, לְעוֹרֵר עֲלֵיהֶם קוֹל תְּרוּעַת מִלְחָמָה. וְזֶה שׁוֹפָר הוֹלֵךְ. פָּסֵק זֶה שְׁבָרִים שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה לָהֶם פְּסָקוֹת, חֲתִיכוֹת וּקְרָעִים, וְזֶה מַכַּת חֶרֶב וְהֶרֶג וְאֹבְדָן. מַקָּף תְּרוּעָה זֶה חֶנֶק. וְזֶה הוּא הוֹלֵךְ וְחָזָק מְאֹד. מְאֹד זֶה מָוֶת שֶׁמִּתְחַזֵּק עֲלֵיהֶם, כְּמוֹ בְּמַתַּן תּוֹרָה.
Shelshelet teruah to seize them bound in the king’s prison house, as it is written: “To bind their kings with chains.” Shofar holekh, pesek, makaf. Voice of the shofar ascends in teruah like a spear, to arouse over them voice of teruah of war. And this shofar holekh. 106.
אַזְלָא גֶּרֶשׁ הַשְּׁכִינָה אוֹמֶרֶת לַקָּבָּ”ה גָּרֵשׁ הָאָמָה הַזֹּאת וְאֶת בְּנָהּ, אֵלּוּ עֵרֶב רַב, שֶׁגֵּרְשׁוּנִי מֵהִסְתַּפֵּחַ בְּנַחֲלַת ה’, גָּרֵשׁ אוֹתָם מִן הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וּמֵהָעוֹלָם הַבָּא, שֶׁלֹּא יִהְיֶה לָהֶם חֵלֶק עִם יִשְׂרָאֵל. שׁוֹפָר הוֹלֵךְ, רְבִיעַ, שְׁנֵי גְּרִישִׁין, שַׁלְשֶׁלֶת. בְּאוֹתוֹ זְמַן נוֹטֵל הַקָּבָּ”ה רֹמַח. שֶׁהִיא רַמ”ח תֵּיבוֹת שֶׁיֵּשׁ בִּקְרִיאַת שְׁמַע וְשֵׁשׁ תֵּיבוֹת הַיִּחוּד. וּבוֹ וַיִּדְקֹר אֶת שְׁנֵיהֶם זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה, זֶה ס”מ וְנָחָשׁ. וּרְבִיעַ צוּרַת דְּמוּת כְּמוֹ הָרוֹמַח.
Azla geresh the Shekhinah says to the Holy One, blessed be He: Drive out this handmaid and her son, these mixed multitude, that drove me out from cleaving to the inheritance of YHVH, drive them out from this world and from the world to come, that they have no portion with Israel. Shofar holekh, revi’a, two gereshin, shelshelet. At that time the Holy One, blessed be He, takes spear. That is two hundred forty-eight words Keriat Shema and six words of unification. And in him: “And he thrust both of them through, the man and the woman,” this Samael and serpent. And revi’a form likeness like the spear.
107.
שְׁנֵי גְּרִישִׁין. גָּרֵשׁ אוֹתָם הַקָּבָּ”ה מִן שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ. בְּאוֹתוֹ זְמַן שֶׁקֶר הַסּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָה וּבְרֹב חֵילוֹ לֹא יִמָּלֵט, שֶׁהַקָּבָּ”ה רוֹדֵף אַחֲרֵיהֶם, וְלוֹקֵחַ אוֹתָם בְּשַׁלְשֶׁלֶת עַל צַוָּארֵיהֶם, וְאַחַ”כ הוֹרֵג אוֹתָם בָּרוֹמַח שֶׁהוּא רְבִיעַ. בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה מְגָרֵשׁ אוֹתָם. וְאַחַ”כ רוֹדֵף אַחֲרֵיהֶם וְתוֹפֵשׂ אוֹתָם. וְאַחַ”כ הוֹרֵג אוֹתָם.
Two gereshin. Drive them out the Holy One, blessed be He, from heaven and earth. At that time: “The horse is a vain thing for safety and in the greatness of his might he shall not escape,” that the Holy One, blessed be He, pursues after them, and takes them in chain on their necks, and afterward kills them in spear that is revi’a. First drives them out. And afterward pursues after them and seizes them. And afterward kills them.
108.
וּרְבִיעַ, וּשְׁנֵי גְּרִישִׁין, וְשַׁלְשֶׁלֶת, הֵם תְּקִיעָה שְׁבָרִים תְּרוּעָה. שְׁבָרִים וְשַׁבֵּר תְּשַׁבֵּר מַצֵּבוֹתֵיהֶם, אֵלּוּ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהֶם וַיָּבֹאוּ בְּנֵי הָאֱלֹקִים לְהִתְיַצֵּב עַל ה’, בְּדִין עַל הַשְּׁכִינָה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בּוֹ וַיָּבֹא גַּם הַשָּׂטָן בְּתוֹכָם, זֶה ס”מ שֶׁבָּא לְקַטְרֵג עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלָדוּן אֶת הַשְּׁכִינָה. וְכֵיוָן שֶׁהוּא תּוֹבֵעַ דִּין עַל הַשְּׁכִינָה וּבָנֶיהָ, כְּאִלּוּ עוֹמְדִים עָלָיו. תְּרוּעָה, בָּהּ תְּרוֹעֲמֵם בְּשֵׁבֶט בַּרְזֶל. תְּקִיעָה, וְהוֹקַע אוֹתָם לַה’ נֶגֶד הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ. וְשׁוֹפָר הוּא קוֹל. מִמֶּנּוּ יוֹצֵא קוֹל בִּתְקִיעָה שְׁבָרִים תְּרוּעָה. תְּקִיעָה מִן הַמּוֹחַ. שְׁבָרִים מֵהַלֵּב, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב לֵב נִשְׁבָּר וְנִדְכֶּה אֱלֹקִים לֹא תִּבְזֶה. זֶה הוּא זִבְחֵי אֱלֹקִים רוּחַ נִשְׁבָּרָה. קוֹל בִּתְרוּעָה מִכְּנָפֵי רֵאָה. וְכֻלָּם נִכְלָלִים בִּקְנֶה וְרֵאָה, וְנַעֲשִׂים קוֹל, וּבְפֶה דִּבּוּר.
And revi’a, and two gereshin, and shelshelet, they are tekiah shevarim teruah.
